Harley has the same thing. It's a funky smell. He's all black but I can see the wetness. I wipe it everyday with tear cleaner,that the groomer mentioned. They also told me the tear production can get worse from food with dyes in theem. Thats what causes the red color. Also they have pills you can give them to help reduce it. I'm going online to see about it.
