We have a pup that was delivered by c-section between 730 and 800 pm tonight (its now 1228), and she won't nurse. We have tried using a finger to stimulate her sucking, but she won't latch on to the tit. I milked the mom and got a couple of drops to give through a syringe, but I am just not sure. She weighs 1.9 oz and her brother weighs 3.6. He is much bigger and looks healthy, but she does not. He delivered naturally at 130 pm, so I am sure that makes a difference. At what point should I do something? How often should I try to feed her? Should I keep milking the mom or give her milk replacement? How much should she eat being that small? Thanks for the help!
