Hi. My Newman had a mass cell tumor. His was a little different though. It was on his foot pad. Our vet who has practiced for 30 years had never seen a tumor in that area and neither did the Universities. Newman was 10 yrs. old when we lost him. We had his tumor removed right away but unfortuantely it was a stage III. Because it was on his foot it was very hard to do the parameters to ensure it was all gone. His cancer spread to his liver and we had to make the decision to let him go. I've done a lot of research and from what I've read Mass Cell Tumors are the most common and are generally found on in the areas like your little girl. Most are non-cancerous or low cancer but they do come back. I'm sorry about your little girl. I'm sure she will be fine. I'll keep you both in my thoughts. Elaine.
