It's been awhile since I posted. In the past, I posted about housetraining concerns. Our Logan just wasn't getting it. He is now 16 months old, and I think he may finally be housetrained.
We taught him to ring bells hanging on the back door knob when he wants to go out. We did this by ringing the bells whenever we took him outside to potty. Two weeks ago, we decided to "test" him to see if he can run free in the house without peeing or pooping.
Sure enough, he has been running to the back door and ringing the bells with his nose. We go out, he pees or poops, and we come back in. Sometimes, however, he rings the bells just to go outside to play
He has had no accidents in the house since we let him loose.
So, don't give up! It just may take your Yorkie longer, just like it did mine.
