Hi Martha,

I have successfully done pretty much that the whole time I've had my Chi, Ellie (she'll be 3 in December). I only dose her (and will now do the same with Maisie too) when I spot a flea/tick. It's such a harsh chemical that I am reluctant to use it unless I really need to. That said, I would not hesitate to use it for even a second if I thought my dogs had fleas/ticks. It's a strong chemical but effective.
