When Chloe was young I taught her to come and heel down, which really helps. She will always come to me, sometimes even when she doesn't want to, like bath time or bedtime. If come doesn't work, I can put my finger down at the floor, tell her to come right now to that spot and she will, sometimes head or tail downward. But the point is she obeys. Lacey, what a laugh. She will always decide on what she wants to do and will shy back if it suits her at the moment. Lately, if she doesn't want to go to bed, she heads under the middle of the bed and rotates back and forth until I have to get under the bed to get her, the little rat. I can't get mad though, she's too cute. I think a lot of yorkies probably shy back if they are smaller, after all, it's a BIG hand coming at the top of their head.
