Have you had her checked out by the vet for any health issues? All of mine back away from us when we go to pick them up. They will whine and beg to be picked up, then hide under the couch when I bend down to get them. I think they are just so independent.... Will she lay on back and let you rub her feet? Gus will finally lie on his back...it's a sign of submissiveness...and I always rub their feet to make it easier to groom them.
