There could be any number of things going on here and I not sure that love is one of them.
I could list the list of what it could be but it be long. Getting to the point.
Try this... teach her lick on cue.... like sit or down only so that only when she is asked to she can lick.
I start with teaching her to lick you by using Peanut butter or cream cheese.
Lick treat lick treat lick treat of you then say lick and stick out your hand baited and treat if she does. Then stick it out unbaited and say lick if she does toss a party.
Now you need to genralize it to other so find a willing victum and ask if they will help same thing lick treat on them and even so far a s thier feet.
Now say lick and treat.... only when you want a treat... oh or you can say kiss instead of lick.
Now the other part that you have lick on cue is once someone comes in she will want to lick.. give her a job.. get her busy with a kong to to lick or a great when company comes chew toy.
If she goes to lick get her back on her toy.
If they want a lick tell her go lick and pass out the treat if she does.
I also teach go settle... company wants to see you and not the dog all the time.. ok that not be me but some other person so tech er to go lay on her blanket in the same room and be still.... that takes time and I am still worning on that with mine.
