I know how you feel. Samson loves to give kisses all of the time but doesn't really care to be held or petted that much. Sometimes he'll sit in my lap to chew on a bone or something but if I start to pet him he usually moves over like I'm bothering him.
Even if he falls asleep on or by me if I start to pet him he'll usually move if I don't stop. What a brat!!!!!
