Hi to all & greetings from Malta (Europe).

Congrats for the excellent & informative topics discussed in yorkietalk.

My dearest Duska (2 years old lovely Yorkie) will give birth in 2 weeks time. I have witnessed several Boxers' whelp but this is the first time with a Yorkie (and current best friend) and would like your kind help in the following queries:
1. I have prepared the whelping kit, but should I follow most of the steps recommended by professional breeders or should I let nature take its course and help out when needed?
2. What sort of ribbon should I use to mark the puppies and should I worry that the pups may strangle?
