The ones I use may be the same ones that BentleyandBitsysMom was talking about. They aren't rubber and they just slide right out of the hair. I use them on myself as well only bigger ones, well I have used Reagan's occasionally, in a pinch. They say no damage and have no metal parts. I get them at Wal-mart, Target etc. in the hair section. But I will say that if you are just starting to put her hair up she will be able to get these out easily. You may be better to stick to the rubber ones until she gets to the point where she leaves them alone.
