Jim, I can tell you from my own sad experience when I lost my first Yorkie, LacieBug, that the hole Savannah left in your heart will heal in time. It took me over five years to heal enough to be ready for another Yorkie -- Chattie didn't replace LacieBug, but she did help with the healing. The saddness of losing LacieBug is now locked away in a compartment in my memory that I only visit occasionally -- but rarely a day goes by that I don't think of my LacieBug and smile. It has been almost 10 years since LacieBug left.
