I have hunted in the past, but now I just mostly go and sit in the stand and watch the deer. I have my own rifle, and if I saw the right deer, I'd go for it! My mom used to quail hunt, she was a good shot, but I never tried. My granddaughter is a good skeet shooter and she also dove hunts (she's 12).
And oh yes!!! I love venison - my freezer was full, but now getting pretty slim - hope hubby fills it up again this season! Our season started last Saturday, but the hunting won't get good till the middle of December cuz it's still too warm.
