 Need help choosing a new food
I have decided to change A.J and KaCee's food since it is giving A.J very bad gas. He started having problems while eating Merrick's puppy plate and it has increased when switched to Turducken. I am very pleased with the quality of Merricks and both dogs seem to love it. I hate to switch them to something else, but I know A.J has to be hurting with as smelly as he is.
Can anyone give me some recommendations about where to go from here? I want to stay with a dry kibble. I've looked over the dog food analysis website but I just don't know where to go. I mean, is the only way to find out what's causing the gas just simple trial and error?
For KaCee's sake, I'd like to feed something that is lower in fat. The vet told us today that he doesn't want to see her gain any weight so we need to maintain or even lose a little. |
