The 3# rule is what my vet in Missouri told me, I really liked her. But the vet my husband started taking her to here was the one who said they could go ahead and spay her and she would be fine. This is also the same vet that gave her a Lepto shot and almost killed her.
We don't use that vet anymore...I am now vet shopping.
