I want to tell you a quick little story. When my dad moved out of state, his golden retriever was about 2 or 3 years old. My dad adopted this 10+ year old german shepard that had been moved from home to home and practically lived in a crate his whole life. This poor dog was not in good health and didn't even know how to run. Our golden, being the lively "puppy" he was, taught the german shepard how to run for the first time in his life... he only lived for about 6 months after my dad adopted him, but he lived a good rest of his life.
