First of all, 10 lbs at 4 mos??? OMG! Yorkie standards are up to 7 lbs(full grown). Where did you buy this yorkie, and can you post pictures? Also, that's too much food for a puppy. As far as how long to keep them on it, I always take mine off puppy food when they're done growing, around 6-7 mos. I have never kept them on it until they were a year. I would like to see pictures of your baby. but, I do also think that is way too much food. Heck, I only feed my german shepherd(full grown) and golden retriever 3 cups of food once a day
