We always take our little ones away with us when we go on holiday, all over the UK. Never left them at home in over 20 years, though a member of our family comes to look after the Skyes when we go away, along with all the geese etc.
We stay in hotels, not self catering places.....rather be waited on hand & foot than cook & wash up on holiday

Lots of hotels will accept them. We used to get addresses out of Pets Welcome etc though I've often rung hotels that don't advertise as being pet friendly & rarely been refused permission to take them, especially when I mention that they have their own folding travel crates to sleep in whilst in the bedrooms.
But I suppose all this is useless if you can't have them with you during the day.
Just thought it might help anyone thinking of taking them on holiday.
