Hello-
I am concerned with Izzy. About 3 weeks ago we moved from Detroit to Washington, D.C. I think the both of us are still adjusting some days are good and some are bad.
I moved because I got a new job which means I am gone most of the day and Izzy is alone
For the first couple of weeks he adjusted okay with me leaving but recently when I do leave he whines and barks. I hear him outside because he was blessed with such a loud bark. He has never done this. When I leave I always give him a treat, this has not changed but now the treat does not work. I feel bad because he is at home for a long period of time. Once I get him checked out at the vet here, my plan is to put him into daycare a couple times a week so he can get some more socialization in and so that he can run off that extra energy. In the meantime I am struggling on what I should do until that happens. There are times where I leave but I am not gone long, like when I am running errands. I dont want him to become a nuisance to the neighbors. I live in a small apartment building.
