I am very happy to have this posting up because I was curious about that as well when we get our Yorkies and how we are going to train them.
I read somewhere that you have to be careful about when you use there name in coversation if that is the name you are going to train them with. When you say there name while on the phone or talking to someone, they will look to you for instruction but when they see you are not acknowledging them, they learn to ignore you when you do say their name for training because it doesn't mean that you are neccessarily talking to them. Anyone else ever heard of that rule???
Are we to call them by the full name during training and nickname other times?
