how old is your babe? I had the same problem Riley was 5months,,,so I cut off all the puppy hair,,,the new growth underneath was so much nicer and does not mat and all i have to do is take the shirt off every other day and brush him..(and thats very easy since Icut him short)...it totally fixed the problem..
