I thought Bennett was doing just fine with "voice commands" until I hit a snag with him pulling on his lead and not wanting to walk. The click and treat worked great! Bennett's trainer is a big advocate of clicker training. I say do whatever is best for your dog and your situation. With me - it's half voice commands and half clicker along with voice commands and a treat with both! Hope this helps.
