I just bought a cordless Dremel for $39.99 at Wal-Mart and an accessory set for $19.99. I used the low setting and did two squirming 6 mo puppies with long toenails in 5 min. Just go a little at a time and you'll get a smoth nail. If the nails are really long do a little now and a little more in a week. Don't take too much at once if they're really long.
