I know it SEEMS expensive, but trust me it's worth it. Also, you are feeding less on Orijen than if you feed food of less quality. The 7 kilogram bag I bought have lasted me 3 months now, and I think there's another month and a half to go yet. I free feed my dogs which are a Yorkie and a shihtzu, so that is a long time and a lot of food for about $40.
When I was feeding Science Diet (BAD food, don't go for that) I was buying a bag for every month. It costs $12.5. In the end, Orijen is CHEAPER than when I was feeding Science Diet. Mocha was always hungry when she was on Science Diet, and Lulu barely eats yet I still managed to go through a 2 kg bag in a month. Now on Orijen they both have great appetite but Mocha will stop eating when she feels full. Which is why I am confident to free feed her.
