[QUOTE=izzybella mommy;2309849]My questions are these, Izzy has low calcium,
The Calsorb you are giving is the best for her IMO if she is already having low calcium problems...Unfortunately it has a very bitter taste (I tried it) and makes many girls foam at the mouth or vomit...I have tried mixing it in some vanilla ice cream and some have liked it better that way...Keep giving it to her until she weans the pups!
low blood sugar, low milk supply, doesn't have any interest in eating,
All of those symptoms go together...Low blood sugar will decrease her appetite and not eating will not help the mild supply...I would syringe feed her a small amount every few hours...You can get some high calorie food from your vet that you can feed with a syringe, also available from your vet...You are probably going to have to hand feed her for a while and offer her cool clean water while she is in her whelping box...You can also syringe feed the baby food...I mix the nutrical right in the baby food and feed that way...Once you get her eating good she will be on her way...
and all of that's all very hard on my girl as it would be on any dog. To help her I'm giving her cal-sorb, which she throws up, Nutrical-which "so-far" we haven't had to much of a problem, ckn baby food, ckn, cottage cheese, beef boulion, peanut butter, corn syrup, honey, oh you name it, it's been given to her. Please, if anyone has any suggestions to help her eat (what to eat, how many times to feed her..etc), bring up her blood sugar (any home remedies), increase her milk supply
Milk supply is a supply and demand thing...The more demand made on her from her nursing pups the more milk she will make...She does have to eat and drink plenty of water to make milk...Don't forget that wet food contains water so she may not drink as much...
(my vet said, "she doesn't advise beer..why?...who knows?

), and calcium (she will not eat the cheese out of the cottage cheese, no vanilla yogurt but anything else???),
I would not suggest beer either....The calcuim she gets from the calsorb should be sufficient...
I would be so eternally thankful.

The only way I'm getting through all of this is with lots and lots of prayer.
Don't forget to get a much needed nap here and there...It will help you cope better and help get you through this...
By the way, Izzy's puppies are growing and doing really well, it's their mommy I'm worried about. Any help, I would really really appreciate. Thank you so much.
Oh and when can I give her a bath, my vet said not to do it cause it might introduce an infection; but she's filthy and sponge bathing isn't cutting it anymore.
If she did NOT have a c-section then I would give her a quick bath...Make sure you blow dry her all the way so the puppies do not get chilled... If Mommy continues to not eat, and you are really worried about your mommas saftey then you may have to consider hand raising the litter!...Good luck!
