honestly I always liked how they looked but you get the whole stereotype of yippy and all that type of dogs, so never really had an interest in one. My mom got her girl and I really liked her BUT she was too "princess" for me. I love Penelope to death but she doesn't play and rather high maintence. Then my mom got her boy Preston. He is playful and more the personality that I liked. I fell in love with yorkies after being around Penelope and Preston. My ex said no way that he didn't want a high maintence princess dog. Then he was a round Preston and he agreed I could have a yorkie if we went to the breeder that Preston came from. I didn't want the teeny tiny ones, I knew some many health issues can result, but I wanted 5-7lb range. So I could carry her in bags and stuff. Aurora is now 10.5 lbs, more than I was expecting BUT I love her for what she is. Smaller would have been easier on me with my back probs with how much she loves to be held but I am more concerned about her being healthy.
