Aww I know how you feel. I felt the same way after we got Roxy. I think I went into a little post pardum depression after we got her. When we went to pick her up at the breeders she was the last one of the litter to go besides her sister which the breeder was keeping because she was show quality. When I first saw Roxy it definitly was't love at first site, I actually wanted her sister because she was fluffier and had a "nicer" face. Roxy wasn't combed nicely and she stunk of poop and even had little chunks of it matted in her. We took her home, gave her a bath the next day and that is when I fekll in love. She was a totally different dog! She was litereally the cutest thing I've ever seen. My husband still taunts me when I tell Roxy how much I love her, he will say Oh, but Roxy Mommy didn't want you, she wanted your sister. I feel so bad! I'm so glad we got Roxy abd not her sister, because so far Roxy has pretty much been a dream dog. She was potty trained at 2 weeks, loves to be around other people, she isn't afraid of anything and has such a great personality. Plus she is super smart! I think you ended up with her for a reason, and I'm sure you'll realize it soon enough! |
