We brush almost everyday with CET vanilla-mint toothpaste (some vets consider toothpaste worthless because dogs already have stronger enzymes in their mouths but I like it). We floss once or twice a week and use OraVet once a week. Ellie doesn't chew on any bones, bullies or any of that. She can't have high protein chews or beef based products and most of that stuff carries way too much of an obstruction hazard. She does get raw vegetables. Her teeth were cleaned a year ago and are still pretty nice. I would like to add more "safe" things to her protocol to avoid dentals altogether and maybe that could be accomplished by brushing after every meal. We might try that soon.  |
does cet vanilla mint have xylitol in it ?
