It is so hard to get another dog after the death of a much loved one. I dont think that any dog with replace your beloved pet. You will always remember her and have a special place in your heart. But you will learn to love Pumpkin as much as your Ruby. They will be different in lots of ways and you will love her for those things and remember Ruby for the other things.
So keep a chin up and just love your little pumpkin. (I love that name!! I call my Daisy that sometimes!!)

Ps My Daisy has only one eye and I couldn't love her more.
