She is 6 months old and weighs 3.2 lbs. But-------she is two dogs long and 1/2 a dog high. Her nose is real long and her hair looks so thin and scraggly.
The lady we got her from had lots of little yorkies in the house and no other breeds and she came with AKC papers. So I'm sure she is a pure Yorkie. Most of her Yorkies were the longer bodied dogs.
She does have a cute personality and loves everyone and seems to be real smart. But she isn't the kind of dog I wanted.
We named her Pumpkin Spice, because we got her on Halloween. We will call her Punkin or Punky. I think Scarey Mary may have been a better name.
I have to make myself keep thinking that now the hubby has a pup to love in place of his beloved Ruby. And think maybe she will grow into her body and at least she has a real cute personality. I guess I'll get used to her. |
Oh no!!! I'm sorry you're not in love w/ your new baby right away

I bet you'll learn to love her though! I have a Silky Terrier, which is like a Yorkie only longer and she looks like what you described your new baby as looking like. IMO she's kinda funny looking, but she's just too cute and sweet and I love her so much and wouldn't trade her for the world (or a cuter dog, as I sometimes tease her). Maybe it'll help you if you try bonding with her by brushing her hair or dressing her up or teaching her a trick? Good luck!!!
