I found out Aurora has cherry eye. I was freaked out when it first appeared. I didn't know if she got something in her eye or ran into something. She went to the vet and he gave her steriods to try. The drops didn't help. He suggested surgery may be an option. Both eyes have it. I had someone tell me that their dog had the surgery many times and it kept coming back. Is that common? I don't want to subject her to surgery numerous times. She doesn't rub her eyes or act like they hurt her, but not sure if they really do bother her?

Basically just wondering if anyone else had experience with this and if so what treatments helped. Is it something that will affect her if I don't have the surgery? Can the side effects of surgery be worse than the cherry eye? Sorry just wanting to hear from others, before I just rush her off to have surgery.
