I don't have a Yorkie (hopefully I will soon!), but I walk my current dog once a day. He is 15 and 1/2 years old and doesn't like walks but it is good for him. I can only take him on 15 minute walks or so since I have to carry him one way. He is 28 lbs so it is quite difficult! He doesn't walk away from home, only towards it, so that's what I have to carry him for the first half.
If I ever get a Yorkie he/she would go on one walk before school (~15 minutes), a trip to the park at lunch time (~30 mins to 1 hour), and then a walk at night with my old little man (~15 minutes). |
