I am wanting to buy a larger computer monitor for my fiance as a surprise. He is such a great guy and does so much for me that I want to be able to get him something really nice. He is a mechanical engineering student and does a lot of computer drawing with Solid Works. The screen we have now is a 15" and he has to scoot really close to it to be able to see details in his drawings. I am totally lost when it comes to this kind of stuff...can a screen be too big? I'm thinking about maybe a 20-24". Also, the computer is an HP, does it matter what brand the monitor is or do they all work together?
I would really appreciate any and all input! It would probably be easier to just take him to a store but I really want to surprise him!
