Default Grooming Injury

My regular groomer came to the house last saturday to groom Edie and my Westie in her mobile grooming van. After she left, I noticed Edie was acting strangely and sitting all the time. It turns out, she got razor burn on her little butt!!! I called the vet on Monday--he said to put neosporin on it. So I did. But no improvement, so I took Edie in to the vet yesterday. The backside of her little tail was burned too, and all around her private parts. The vet said that this is very common and that Edie did not have a bad case. Nevertheless, he gave me some creme to put on it 3X per day! I cannot believe I am rubbing lotion on my dog's butt!!!!

I feel so guilty. I cannot stand seeing Edie like this. My husband says that she only acts like this when I am around. When she is with just him, she acts normally. I think she is a bit of a drama queen. The vet said so too!

Well, I have to get home to rub down her little tush!
