Well, my vet calls and says that everything checked out fine expect his lipase levels are double what they should be. Has anyone experienced this with their yorkie? I'm on here fishing for additional information before I go pick him up today. Does anyone know what could cause this sort of increase in his lipase levels? Is this something that I should be extremely concerned about or does antibiotics usually take care of this sort of thing? Any information, suggestions, would greatly be appreciated.
Lipase is an enzyme. Lipid substrates attach to it and are broken down into usable products. I am not sure why they would be high or what but from the symptoms it sounds like a parasite.
