They're pretty strict here, which is a good thing for the most part. They passed a bill that states dogs and cats over 4 months need to be spayed/neutered (unless they meet the exceptions). The grace period for that ended October 1. Violators get fined $100.

The only thing I do not like, is the licensing here in LA. It breaks down by each city, and there are a ton. There are some dog parks that I cannot take my pup to because I don't live in that city, even though I may live closer to that particular dog park. I looked into getting a non-resident license for my pup, but everything I've researched points to no.
