I'm so glad I read this thread! We have always had AVG (free version) on our computer at home but recently I was thinking I should have something "more powerful" so I downloaded the free trial version of Norton. Don't know what I did wrong but it never gave me the final notice that it was installed. I've tried calling my cousin, the "computer geek" of the family, and he's out of town so I figured I would just wait to see what he said. Now after reading this, I've cancelled it so that I won't get charged the yearly rate in a couple weeks and will just stick with AVG. Glad to hear that this free version works for ya'll too!
