All dogs and cats are required to have a rabies vaccine. The first is an annual one and the next are good for 3 years. Once they've been vacinated that info is sent to the city and you are sent a bill for licensing. Those are $10 per year.
Cats are also subject to a leash law. No kitties allowed to roam. That's not actively enforced unless someone complains.
Owning more than 4 dogs means you're required to get a kennel license...even if you are not breeding....however, just applying does not guarantee you will get a license.
