Another nurse here. I absolutely love nursing and am so glad I chose this profession 38 years ago!!! (I'm really old). I graduated with my baccalaureate in nursing in 1974 and have loved every minute of my career. Of course, then I had to get my master's in 1980 and my PhD in 1993.

The great thing about nursing is there are so many things that you can do in so many settings! I've worked in a hospital, insurance company (as the employee health nurse), state health department, and school of nursing. I teach now, and it is my passion. I dearly love teaching.

Whatever you do, you will want/need your BS in nursing. This is because you'll probably want to get a master's in nursing at some point, and maybe even your PhD! So, just go ahead and get the bachelor's in nursing right now!

Good luck.
