i live in the city so i'm able to take my ted pretty much everywhere i go, including restaurants also! they have doggie menus.
yes, the worst that can happen is them asking you to leave. it only happened to me once, at a sushi restaurant. technically restaurants owners can get charged a fine b/c of it being a sanitary issue.
i find i get BETTER service when i bring my dog with me shopping b/c the sales people ask to pet my dog! LOL
