I'm sorry that I really don't know the answer to your question. Did you ask your vet that question? I just wanted to tell you that my baby is a 1 1/2 yr. old and had a recent bout with pancreatitis. It was a very scary thing. My vet had her fast for 24 hrs.with her having only ice chips. She then went on a low fat food Science Diet WD. Eventually she was slowly introduced back to her regular food. She is on a low fat diet now and will always be as far as I know. You probably have been through all of this. What I want to tell you that my dog is still doing very well. I am very, very careful what I feed her now. I can blame myself for feeding her things that she shouldn't have had and I believe that made her ill. I hope Kacey is doing well now. I'd love to know how she is doing. I'll be thinking of you and Kacey.
