Love My opinion

I used to feed RC Yorkshire Terrier 28 to my yorkie and maltese. The fact is RC uses cheap ingredients such as animal fat, corn, beet pulp (it maked Hanzo, my maltese, had terrible tear stains), etc. It also uses dehydrated poultry meal. The first ingredient is Rice.

In my opinion, the first ingredient should be the meat itself ex. chicken, beef or fish (not chicken meal, beef meal, etc) because dogs are carnivore. Besides RC is not cheap either - price-quality.

A good dog food should contain human grade food. Evo, Orijen, Canidae grain free which I believe are good ones. There are some other good dog food too like Solid Gold, Timberwolf, etc.

I would not feed my yorkie and maltese RC, Eukanuba, Pedigree, Proplan, Hill's, Beneful, etc which use only cheap ingredients. We are what we eat, so our fur babies are.

From my experiences, The breeders who feed their yorkies with RC, Eukanuba, Proplan, Pedigree, Hill's, etc, their yorkies face health problems in the future. Their yorkies usually die at the age of 10 to 12 yo (they are all champion dogs).

One of Kenzo's grand grand parents was an International champion who died at the age of 10 to 12 yo. My breeder feeds their yorkies with those famous marks that most people use like Proplan, RC, Eukanuba.

I can understand why most dog owners here in Europe who are lack of this information about by-product, beet pulp, etc only know RC, Eukanuba, etc. Besides, (unfortunately), we can't find Evo, Solid gold, Orijen, etc in the pet shop here in Europe. I order Orijen from the internet.

We are lucky here coz we get tons of usefull information from this forum.

I do believe if we feed our yorkies only best ingredients, they can live till 18 yo.
