Hi, in response to your little sweetie barking in it's crate. We have two little Yorkie sisters - Mindi and Mandi. We have slept with their little blankets for a few nights to get our scent on them. We were told that our scent will comfort them. If/when the blankets get soiled or dirty and you wash them, sleep with the blankets again to get your scent on them again. It really seemed to help our girls. Also, ignore, ignore, ignore ! the barking and crying. If you respond in any way this will reinforce the behavior that you are trying to stop. I know it's difficult, our girls will sometimes yipe & cry when we first put them in their crate at night. We, as difficult as it is, will just ignore them and it usually ends within 15 minutes. They then realize that their yipes & crying is getting them nothing, so they stop and settle in for a comfy night's sleep. Also, during the day we put our clock-radio on for them to keep them company. But, I do work from home with my In-Home daycare business in the lower level of our home and they can hear the noise downstairs, as well. But, I still put the radio on for them. Hope this helps.
Yorkie Hugs,
Angel M. - Mindi and Mandi, too. Arf-Arf
