Yorkies, to be well kept, have dietary needs, in cold weather, clothing, hair cuts & that does not take into account vet visits when they get sick.
I know you are aching for one but it just may not be the right time for you.

I have money to pay for one but since I live in an apartment, moving to a duplex there is a pet deposit of at least 300 (it varies depending). I know about vet cost, I am planning on getting the puppy set up with Banfield pet hospital that is $85 to set up not including heartworm, flea prevention etc. Then from there it will be at least 17 a month for the vet and that includes all office visits heartworm test, fecal test, shot etc. I have money for grooming and all the above things mentioned. So... its not that I am just flat broke. For me to say that yes I don't want to spend 300 at a rescue does not necessarily mean I cannot afford one. It mean I am taking into account all other cost.

God Bless
