When we first moved into this building...there was no heat. I had portable heaters and wore a coat all day. The newspaper publishes a picture of city workers wearing coats...cause...oh my goodness...the heat had gone out. What dedicated workers...wearing their coats with no heat...and I thought....big deal I've been doing that for 6 months...never got my picture in the paper.

To be honest I thought it was a little silly myself. I had work to do, so I just stayed up here. But everyone else left! Technically the boss said if its a problem for you then you can go on home. He didn't say, "You must evacuate the building!" But these people have no shame...

I'm sorry you didn't get your picture in the paper Deb! Maybe you should start your own inner office newsletter and write a story about your tireless dedication?
