Denise,

Hi, I just read your post regarding your 5 yr. old Yorkie. Have you maybe thought about going back to "crate training" ? I don't know much about the pee-pad technique, as we are crate training our 2 Yorkie sisters = Mindi and Mandi to go outside to "tinkle". But, alot about what I have read is that no matter what the age of the dog, you can always go back to "crate training" and it will work. Of course, you'll have to reduce the size of her crate so she can only turn around and lay down, or she'll relieve herself in the front of the crate and go to the back to lay down. Our puppies are 16 weeks old and we took the partition out of their crate thinking they were ready, and they weren't. So we put the partition back up in their crate and have started from square one again with taking them out of their crate, outside to "tinkle" then back in the crate. It seems to be working for us, again. Just thought I'd share. Hope this helps ?
