Well, here's a bit of an update. I ended up calling the vet back yesterday to ask if I should be giving her the meds with food, and he said yes, (thanks for telling me that beforehand) and he also said that this is probably what caused her to throw up yesterday morning.
So, she ate some chicken & veggies last night, and took the antibiotic, and she kept it down just fine. BUT - we fed her again this morning, and gave her the pill, and she threw up about 20 minutes later. So, now we are not sure. Maybe she has a sensitive stomach and it was too early to feed her and give her a pill? She doesn't normally eat much in the AM.
She does seem to be feeling a little bit better, and her legs seem stronger, but this throwing up is driving me crazy because she really needs these meds, and I'm worried that they are not getting into her fast enough. |
