I don't think its about your children being good with animals. Its about Yorkies not having any fear of falling, and leaping from even adults hands.

Young children are just not equipped to handle the squirmy, leaping, very fast Yorkie. That doesn't mean any children are bad, just not a good combination for a tiny Yorkie pup.
