I absolutely do NOT think that it is an incorrect assumption. The symptoms do seem to match and it could very well be ear mites. What I think happens too often though is what the author explains in the first paragraph of this article: Ear Mites FAQ - VeterinaryPartner.com - a VIN company!
So many people see their dog shake its head and think ear mites when there are other things it could be. I have no idea what the problem is with this pup but I would recommend a cytology so nobody is guessing.  |
I see what you're saying and I definitely agree. Only a vet will be able to correctly diagnose the problem.
