Lyla is 5. We were told that she was having minor problems with her kidneys in May by one vet, and then this all pretty much happened in the last few weeks when we took her to another vet and they diagnosed her in failure.
I just ordered the Azdoyl and I will let you all know how she does on it.
Thank you all so much for your support. I'm so glad I found this website as well. It is really nice knowing there are people I can talk to and get advice from. Knowing that you all care so much really means a lot.
Like I mentioned before we just brought her home from another three days at the vet today and she is all swollen in her midsection and back legs. It is so bizzare looking because just a few days ago she had gotten so skinny.
The vet told us the reason for the swelling was too much toxins in the blood because the kidney's are not filtering. It just seems odd to me. Has anyone else experienced the swelling with kidney failure??
